We begin with a brief consultation to review your skin concerns, assess your complexion, and ensure Microneedling with PDGF is the best treatment for your goals.
Your skin is thoroughly cleansed before a topical numbing cream is applied to maximize your comfort throughout the treatment.
Once your skin is numb, SkinPen® Microneedling is performed while PDGF is microneedled directly into the skin. This allows the growth factors to reach the freshly created microchannels, supporting your skin's natural repair process and maximizing the regenerative benefits of treatment.
Following treatment, we gently cleanse the skin and leave the PDGF in place so it can continue supporting your skin's natural healing and regeneration. You will also receive two travel-size moisturizers to keep your skin hydrated and comfortable during recovery.
For enhanced comfort and recovery, you may choose to purchase our BioCellulose Recovery Mask to use at home the following day. This ultra-soothing mask helps replenish hydration, calm the skin, and reduce post-treatment redness for an even more comfortable recovery.
- Arrive with clean skin when possible and avoid wearing heavy makeup.
- Discontinue retinoids (Retin-A, tretinoin, adapalene) 5–7 days before treatment.
- Avoid waxing or shaving of the treatment area for 1 week prior to your appointment.
- Avoid excessive sun exposure, tanning, or arriving with sunburned or irritated skin.
- Let us know about any recent cosmetic treatments, medication changes, allergies, pregnancy, or changes in your skin.
- Come prepared to discuss your current skincare routine, concerns, and goals so we can personalize your treatment.
- Expect redness, warmth, and tightness for 24–48 hours, similar to a mild sunburn. Some clients may also notice slight swelling or tenderness.
- After the redness disappears, the skin will become dry and flaky as your skin naturally renews itself for 2-3 days.
- Allow the skin to shed naturally—do not pick, peel, or pull at flaking skin.
- Makeup can be applied once redness is 100% gone.
- Keep your skin well hydrated and use only the products recommended by your provider for the first 24–48 hours.
- Wear a broad-spectrum SPF daily and avoid prolonged sun exposure or anything that could result in a sunburn while your skin heals.
- Avoid strenuous exercise, excessive sweating, hot tubs, saunas, and swimming for the first 48 hours.
- One week after treatment, you may resume your normal skincare routine.
